• Finished with white thread 1/4 inch from the edge. The edges are meant to fray.

• 100% organic cotton woven in a diamond twill: Grown, spun, dyed and woven in Kachchh, India

• spot clean stains with cold water and mild ph-neutral soap (anything else can change the color of the dye). If you must launder, wash on cold/delicate cycle with mild, ph -neutral detergent. Do not tumble dry.

The inspiration for these table runners emerged from the delicate tension between summer and winter, because I love the temperatures of Winter (I know, not many can relate) but I miss the flowers of summer. And I wanted to have have flowers in even the darkest of winters.

🌸 From My Garden to Your Home:

Flowers were picked and pressed every few days (except for the patch where that the giant praying mantis called home) from my small garden. Every bloom tells a story of sunny days and the joy I feel when I’m surrounded by flowers.

🌎 Sustainable textiles:

In my quest for sustainable textiles, I found a textile company that resonated with my values. Their commitment to fair wages, dignified work, and the preservation of cultural heritage aligns seamlessly with my vision for creating conscious art. All of fiber used in these table runners are sourced from them. Here’s what they said about this cotton “Kala cotton is considered an ‘old world’ cotton that has been cultivated and traded since 3000BC. It’s indigenous to the region of Kachchh in India, where this yardage is grown organically, handspun, naturally dyed and handwoven by a cooperative of artisans that has been creating this cloth for generations.”

As for the thread, that was sourced from second hand stores and give away piles. In saving these from possibly going to the dump, they may not be 100% natural.

At the end of the day, is it just a table runner? Yeah. But my hope is that it will also be an invitation to gather with people you love in the warmth of your home and these summer blooms. That it will be something you gather around year after year, after year.
